Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

The difference in preliminary task and the finished opening sequence wasn't i had practised at all of the techniques and rules like 180 degree rule and continuity. As you can see in the picture on the let In my preliminary task continuity wasn't maintained throughout which i learned from and made sure it was in my title sequence.

what have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

while creating my : research and planning blogs, opening sequence, music for my opening sequence, titles for my opening sequence, audience feedback and my evaluation blog i used a range of technologies like :

During my research and my planning blog post i learnt how to use Microsoft excel which i had only used a couple of times and hadn't become accustomed to it yet.

for my opening sequence i made some music to add to my product. i used garage band which i have used before in a btec level 2 music course so i just refreshed my previously developed skills i didn't have to learn use this technology.

do edit my footage for my opening sequence i used Imovie which allowed me to edit my imported clips and edit part of the sound.

to add titles to my title sequence i used live type which allowed me to place titles over clips or on a black background. this technology is new to me so i was was given a basic tutorial by a teacher then i picked up other skills as i went on.

What kind of media intitutions will distrbute your media product and why?

Summit Entertainment is independent film distributor who has distributed many thriller films like twilight, Memento, The Hurt Locker, Push and RED. i Think this company would be very suitable because they have done distributed films with low budget like Push and thrillers like Memento which approach in its title sequence is quite alike my film with the way they go back and forth in time.

How does your media product repersent particular social groups?

my product represents two aspects of the urban teen culture with Tony being a drug dealer who goes into jail is representing the young crime culture and Jake Geller who phones the police on Tony is representing the teen drinking culture.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products ?

In my film i used a lot of the general conventions of a thriller and useda range of media products to produce my product. In my opening seqeunce i followed the general conventions by
establishing story while leaving gaps sfor the audience to ask qestions and want to see more.

my film begins with the normal thrillers dark lane establishing mood for the film to continue with.
