Analysis of Memento 1

This picture shows the common convention of thriller films using blue which is used for the title and is also used in the picture that the title is placed over
which is also a convention of a opening sequences displaying a clue for later in the film.

This shot follows the conventions of a thriller opening by using mysterious close ups and not revealing everything and show clues to later in the film with the glasses upside down which could be used to show that things will not be seen right.

This extreme close up has been used to frame the guys head and his expressions while a voice over by him is used which places the audience in his mind and ensconces them into the film.

This is captured form one of the opening sequences scene were the shooting of the man is being re wounded this rewinding of time is showing sign that times is an important as it is in the opening sequence. This means its being used to place the audience in the mood of the film the film whilst submerging them in it so each shot is key.
