Title sequence VS trailer

An opening sequence creates interest by placing the audience into the film and making them feel the mood, if the opening sequence isnt relevant then it will have no effect on the audience and the wont feel the need to watch the hole movie.

A movie trailer is made to create interest and a want to watch a film, it is made to atract the audience that are intrested by that genre of film. A trailer also show all the aspects of the film, showing all the best bits without spoiling the story or any part of the film which creates curiosity to watch the hole fiilm and fill in the gaps. This is also advertisement for directors and big actors or type casted .
